Downtown Revitalization
The Downtown Kodiak Revitalization Special Committee was established to help revitalize downtown Kodiak with a focus of reducing crime, brightening the downtown area, and attracting new businesses. The committee is chaired by the Kodiak City Mayor, and the Mayor is granted authority to name members of the committee. The committee meetings focus on community concerns pertaining to safety, security, economic development, and aesthetic appeal of downtown Kodiak. The committee shall not have direct power to affect policy determinations, but shall be able to make recommendations to the City Council.
