Can I use the Kodiak Fire Department for the purposes of 29 CFR 1910.146(k)(1) Confined Space Rescue team?
No, due to operational needs and lack of guaranteed response times the Kodiak Fire Department cannot be used on OSHA require permit entry confined space permits as the primary rescue team. If an emergency occurs activation through 911 will generate a response and our trained Confined Space Rescuers will assist on site rescue personnel.
